D. Scott Hansen – President
Scott has been in the insurance business since 1994. In 1996, he created Hansen Brokerage Services, a true full-service life insurance brokerage firm with his late father David C. Hansen. In 2000, Scott became the sole owner of the firm. Scott is a founding member of our National Insurance Marketing Organization, AimcoR, and has served in many positions on the board of directors. Scott has also served the industry extensively being an active participant within NAIFA, NAILBA, WMHUA, and others. Scott assists producers with Advanced Case Design, market strategies, and advanced sales concepts. He also provides point of sale support and wholesaling of Variable Life Insurance products.
Gerard Montigny- Illustration Specialist
Gerard joined the Hansen team in 2010 after spending 20 years in customer service in the golf industry. Gerard has a passion for numbers, analysis and strategic development of cases with an emphasis on which scenario best meets the client’s needs. His role is understanding the distinct differences in underwriting guidelines and provides essential expertise in quoting, case design and carrier selection.
Su Nguyen- Case Manager
Su joined the Hansen Brokerage team in the summer of 2020. She has over 25 years customer service experience as a restaurant owner in West Michigan. As a Case Manager, Su can assist you in submitting new business applications. She will work closely with the life insurance carriers to ensure cases are moving through the underwriting process as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Lisa Mills- Licensing Specialist/Case Manager
Lisa began her career at Hansen Brokerage in October of 2008. Lisa has extensive customer service experience in both the banking and financial services sectors. As the Hansen Brokerage Licensing Specialist, Lisa assists our producers in getting contracted with the carrier. As a Case Manager, Lisa also assists with new business applications, and moving cases through underwriting as quickly as possible.
Stephanie Feddema- Brokerage Director
Stephanie joined the team at Hansen Brokerage in the fall of 2013. With an MBA in Marketing from Western Michigan University, and as a previous owner of a local advertising and marketing firm, Stephanie has a passion for assisting Financial Advisors in growing insurance revenue with marketing concepts, and creative sales ideas. She provides point of sale support with clients, and consults extensively on long term care and business- owner related cases.
Zach Fex- Business Development
Zach joined our team in the fall of 2017 tasked with furthering Business Development for Hansen Brokerage. Zach specializes in assisting our property and casualty insurance producers with finding life, long term care, and disability insurance solutions for their clients. Zach’s expertise in email marketing and electronic based application processes is invaluable to the agents he serves.
